Like Kaizen Scans, Paradise Scans, Siren Scans? Not only do I feel like their translations give me AI-generated vibes, but they also take on so many projects that literally I don’t think I see any BL translation teams anymore aside from these three. And
And when you get on to each of these websites, they all PAYWALL THEIR STORIES. Then they’ll try to say some bs like “oh, well we make them free eventually,” yeah, except the paywall shouldn’t exist in the first place.They don’t even do good cleaning, the sfx is still on the panels for example, and they don’t do even bother trying to add a translation note to clarify what the korean word means. It’s such a crazy level of greed.
Fan translations aren’t labor, it’s something that’s supposed to be done for the love of the game and meant for an audience who probably would support paying for chapters if they could afford it. To be expecting monetization for it is insane, because that money isn’t going to the artist or people who worked on the manhwa.
I’d understand if they were asking for donations to be able to afford paying for the chapters, but to PAYWALL is what is getting to me.

there are really quite a lot of fan, unpaid teams actually that are not official and doing the lords work. yes those big 3 are usually not great and often upload over official uploaders or over teams doing a far better job. usually if I see paradise or kaisen I don’t bother reading cause it usually sucks lol. but there are plenty of other stories that are worth reading sometimes it just takes some digging.
Kaizen scans and myth tooons are especially annoying because they keep uploading over each other so stories get double uploads of the same chapter. And they both have subpar translation lol
And maybe the mediocre obviously machine translations would be more bearable if they spent their time picking up stories that no one else is translating and that don't have active officials but no. It's always the already popular stories they do this shit on because they only care about driving traffic to their site
i agree! it just sucks bc usually i’d have to just wait for someone to upload the official translations for stories im really interested in reading. more specifically the newer stories that have been coming out

If I see Kaizen, I instantly know I want to avoid it cuz the translations suck and the grammar is all over the place. And it always seems like them and mythtoons are competing lol. prefer mythtoons over kaizen but they're both still kinda ehhhh
