profundis artist lwk went all out with that congrats art wonder if they’re besties or smth lmao
were those two characters on the last page from red candy? they look kinda familiar
ud think this story was smut heaven if u were just looking at the comments
reading this story is like being the furry character crying seeing his parents fight. these guys aren’t even fighting and i’m still dying over here
i hope taebeum gets more pov’s this season, the top just feels kinda bland
ppl on reddit were saying this artist won’t continue to adapt the sequel. which sucks bc i have such an attachment to how they draw characters sigh. they really manage to draw taeui super fit yet also not super beefy, which is kinda my ideal attractive type in a man lolol. idk who the next artist will be for the sequel, but hope they have a similar artstyle
actually i have a lot more to say about this story after giving it more thought. there’s an inherent issue with how the author conducts the privileged people in this story, and that’s by how there’s little to no actual discussion on fixing the problem. the rapists go unpunished. author just gave hawon a simple ending with, “his rapists won’t harm him anymore, the ml won’t hurt him anymore, and he’s rich now” this author doesn’t actually address any systemic issues present in her worldbuilding.
the author wants us to know the characters who hurt hawon are bad people, but she’s also aware that these bad people realistically would probably get away with the problem. and yet she still wants hawon to have his cake and eat it too, because he ends up joining the same money class as them. like you want to write about difficult and serious issues, and yet u try ur sincere best to make such an unrealistically hopeful ending.
I’m not asking for the author to make wholly good people as the main characters, but I do think it’s a bit of a problematic story to essentially say that all rapists and bad people can and should not ever be punished. and that actual “decent” rich people like mc and ml don’t need to fix the systemic issues that they are more than wholly capable of fixing. because at the end of the day, hawon who was a struggling man was still “luckier” because he had something that all these rich people were vying for; he essentially has an inherent value that makes him worth helping that all the other struggling people don’t.
the author wants to portray realistic classism by having epstein-like rich characters present in her story, but she still wants to have a fairytale ending with hawon marrying a rich man. so she essentially fixes the problem by ignoring her own setting that she created. he quite literally gets coupled up with a man who is in the same group of people that hurt him. and u might go, the male lead WAS aware of all the horrible people present in his posse and never actually tries to get them arrested. now that hawon is with him, he still never tries to punish them either. i’m not asking for a revenge story, but i think it’s quite insane to kind of let the readers have the thought that these rapists are probably going to keep hurting people bc they went unpunished.
story was good but i still think it says a lot abt the author that his rapists go unpunished. kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth when you want to make it a point about the complexities behind a privileged life and yet not one evil character here actually got what was coming to them. like what, should my takeaway here be that as long as you have money, you get away with anything? fuck that
this is like ordering ketchup but receiving mustard
shedding a tear both up here and down there waiting until next monday…
yujin’s ass gonna be spreading like an omega in heat!! me and aaron r absolutely ready to see yujin clenching those sheets
story’s hella mid, father’s trash, love interests were mid, athy and jennette were great, art was amazing. solid 5/10. can’t believe the hype really clouded my judgement back then, but after rereading some of it recently i’ll just say the story really was carried by the art and good timing
also not everyone being so traumatized from other bl’s that they think aaron will rape yujin the second they meet again . guys i get u, but tbh aaron’s the type of yandere that would entirely use methods to make yujin want to have sex w him imo
IVE WAITED A YEAR FOR THIS AND THEY LOOK AS PERFECT AS I REMEMBER IT
is this as good as night of muheun? i don’t like high school stuff, but willing to read this if it’s as good
