The crazy thing about Stockholm Syndrome is that both parties are affected, sometimes without realizing, although how is obviously quite different between victim and aggressor.
The fact he warned her not to fall for him...he already warned her once, and punished her for it. She's been largely obedient since, so why warn her again...unless the author's intent was for him to be actually reminding himself?
