I always find it ridiculously funny and hypocritical how some readers can be. The thing about people reading stories like this is that, it’s not always just for the kink or fetish, which I don't still see an issue with that, as long as they're not justifying it. but also reading for the tension, the drama, and seeing how the story unfolds and concludes.
But then you see fake high moral people, trying to drag and shame others for reading a story or for having different feelings about it than they do. The whole point of fiction is that it should never influence how you view real-life situations. You can read stories involving rape or dark themes while still being fully aware that it’s wrong and should never be supported.
I’ve even seen people with far worse non-con yaoi stories in their reading lists complain about straight stories with rape themes and shame others for reading them, bunch of hypocrites. You can consume dark fiction, enjoy it, criticize it, and still acknowledge that what’s happening in the story is wrong, it's called having media literacy and maturity.
I’ve also seen people say they can’t stand reading straight rape stories because seeing women get abused triggers them, but they don’t mind reading yaoi because the victim is a man. And honestly, I find that mindset really wrong, one-sided and disturbing, because disliking sexual violence shouldn’t depend on gender, but on how vile the act itself is.
As someone who reads both yaoi and straight stories, I personally don’t mind consuming dark themes as long as I’m aware that they’re wrong. I genuinely don’t see the issue with that. You don’t have to shame people for liking a black-flag character just becoz you personally hate that type of story. Why can’t people just enjoy fiction however they want as long as it’s not harming anyone irl and they know where to draw the line?

No one cares that you read dark fiction. We care that you’re out here defending the actual rape and abuse happening in the story and insulting people who say it’s disgusting. That’s not media literacy, that’s just being a rape apologist with extra steps .
Pick a lane. Either own your rape kink without attacking critics, or stop pretending you’re above it all. The hypocrisy is loud.

This just proves how slow and dumb you actually are, I need you to point and bring out where I supported or anyone who is supporting and saying rape is okay or whatever the fuck is happening is okay, you delulu readers out here fighting yourself and saying things no one is actually doing. coz if you read my comments with your brain, instead of using your ass, you won't be saying this nonsense and think you actually said something valid, so move on with your fake high moral superiority complex and stop judging people based on what they read, you are nobody parents here to be dictating to them on what they can and can not read or say. And the real hypocrite here is people like you reading the same story and complaining that others are doing the same thing to
