Welp, yikes! I was just thinking the MC is such a pushover and indeed he is, huh. Well, with that kind of ML, I guess he really doesn't have any choice. But I've read a novel where the MC killed himself just to spite the ML so that's why I still think the MC is such a pushover. But oh well, time to drop this.
welp, thanks for letting me know
"what ticked me off the most about this man is that he literally has 2 loving parents, a shit ton of fortune, and he has no reason at all to be treating mc like shit"
I've been thinking about this as I read this manhwa. I thought it was because he's part of the mafia and would change later on but even his gangsta associates think he's being evil af

i was so invested to see what happens because surely the chasing arc is going to be satisfying if hes acting like a complete asshole so i read the novel, but literally no if you guys want to see ml grovelling over mc then dont bother reading this, mf doesnt even apologise ONCE. when mc got caught by him, mc literally told the director straight up “you should at least apologise to me” and he just REFUSED he even threatened to harm mc’s grandma, gyujin, and even the team leader just to get the mc to eat because he was upset over being kidnapped again.
ml’s “redemption” is just him suddenly letting mc go one day and buying him a house and cleared off his debt and put his grandma in a better hospital, all without any explanation which left mc confused because just the day before he was being tortured, this was after mc fell ill from getting raped by the director (fr guys even the other readers on the novel site said that it felt like a different author wrote it, and that the genre suddenly shifted because it actually felt like reading a horror book before). then he showed up again after leaving the mc alone and asked to date what ticked me off the most about this man is that he literally has 2 loving parents, a shit ton of fortune, and he has no reason at all to be treating mc like shit. he could have treated mc nicely from the start and his life wouldnt have been inconvenienced in the slightest. he actually never redeems himself it feels like such a waste of time reading it
