Sometimes you just want closure. Of course it depends on how the author choose to go about this. Hyesung might or might not forgive his mother, but perhaps he just wanted to make sure there is no regrets in the future. Remember, the original manhwa was almost ten years ago. The author probably has a lot of thoughts on this.
