They have spent every single chapter being awed and praising her for doing this exact same thing. All of them. Maybe they’ll scold her cutely for being rash, but this feels like they’re contemplating putting their dog down not punishing a tom boy. People were saved because she was true to herself. Was it reckless and stupid? Yes. Was there anyone else who was gonna do it? No. Y’know what a crown princess isn’t? Irreplaceable. Like is she irreplaceable to the people who love her? Yeah. But to the general populace of the kingdom she could literally be anyone. Seems like they shouldn’t make her crown princess if they want their crown princess to not do the only thing Mimi can reliably do. Plus she snuck out of the palace because of her father, maybe take that up with him. Like if these were IRL people it could be debated that’s necessary but these are literal fictional characters. The whole time this manga has been happy to treat all their characters with the kid gloves you get to treat fictional characters with and now all of a sudden there’s dire consequences. Ew.
