I may just be speaking for me here, but I feel like a lot of the overanalyzing and complaining over characters actions or whatnot are also part of enjoying the story. I love complaining over fictional characters and their fictional problems!! It's just nice to put your thoughts out there.
I'm sure it's not the end of the world for them, and am sincerely waiting for them to come out as better people at the end of this arc
It is and has always been a great story. Ignore the haters in the comments. They're obviously still reading it too, since they know it's too good to stop.
Some small part of them still (rightfully) has faith in the author/the characters (and their relationship).
I think right now, things in most people's lives are so stressful that they often turn to fictional works as a form of stress relief.
When those beloved fictional works cause them to also feel a bit of anxiety, they lash out both because they were trying to escape feelings of frustration and dread and because the problems the characters experience seem so much easier to resolve than their own real life problems, and it's frustrating to have such a simple fix sitting in front of a seemingly intelligent character whom they had originally identified with and/or respected only for that character to reject it for seemingly asinine reasons.
Also, when you learn how to navigate relationships in a healthy way, it can sometimes be hard for people to put themselves in the shoes of a character who struggles with it.
Honestly, I cringe for many of the people in the comments outing themselves as so judgmental and unable to empathize with someone (real or fictional) who has different lived experiences/trauma than they have.
Can't help but wonder how young these people are because I think I probably would have thought(?) and behaved similarly when I was an immature teenager (although, again, it can also be a very dangerous symptom of burnout, too... so I also can't help but worry about these potentially emotionally/mentally fatigued fellow lovers of happy/fluffy BL).
Anyway, a lot of us are still loving the story. The author has proven capable of writing a very intriguing and thought provoking story / characters up to this point, so I'm still very excited to see where this goes.

doesnt mean i dont understand a thing. but am i the only one still enjoying this? like yeah sure its messy but i can see them overcoming this. its a whole arc and it wont be resolved with just a couple of chapters
