Like it as love story, question your morals

So you actyally have no idea about the BL world do you? Don't get me wrong, I'm not that fond of this kind of relationships either, but in cases like this "that" is what the story is about, lol, and is really soft I must say, I have friends who have shown me some things wow girl, you couldn't bear. My most sincere advice, just search for the genres you like, there are a looot of people who love this and worse, and you won't change that, wether they have healthy relationships in rl or not, that's their business. What I mean is: this is not the place to talk about mental and emotional health at all jsjsjs. Btw, I really like minwha's work and I'm happily married, have a little baby and believe me, we do not normalize any kind of violence

Fiction is not reality. You dont have to date a man like jk. Not every story needs to have the ideal man of yours as a seme. Dislike it? Drop it. People don't have to stop liking something just because it makes you uncomfortable. The world doesn't revolve around you.

Grandmaster of Demonic cultivation, turning, Heaven's official blessing, little mushroom, renenion, Our Sunny Days, Cherry Blossoms After Winter, Sign (or On or Off), Synamatic error etc. I forgot other names because green flag stuff is so rare I have to search it up like digging in a ocean.

Other than Demonic cultivation and heaven's blessing I don't think anything got much popularity

I think you're misunderstanding my criticism.

I know toxic fiction exists, and I'm not asking people to stop reading it. I've been reading BL long enough to know Jinx isn't even close to the darkest thing in the genre.

My issue isn't that the relationship is toxic. My issue is that a large part of the fandom treats it as a great LOVE STORY rather than what it actually is: an abusive relationship with a power imbalance.

Enjoying toxic fiction is one thing. Romanticizing it is another.

And yes, people can enjoy stories like this while being perfectly healthy in real life. I never claimed otherwise. But "there are worse stories" doesn't make Jinx a good romance, just like there being worse criminals doesn't make someone innocent.

We can enjoy a story and still criticize the relationship it portrays. I want for good written contest to be written more than toxic stories that's it ╥﹏╥

It's funny how every defense of Jinx eventually becomes:

"Fiction isn't reality."

"Just drop it."

"The world doesn't revolve around you."

Yet nobody explains why the relationship is actually romantic.

I don't want it limited to just p*rn stuff with no good plot stories. I want good and actual plot with healthy romance in at least main characters like take Demonic cultivation for example.

I want categories in BL like comedy, romance, horror, sci-fi etc and don't want it limited to be toxic romance. Toxic is so common like a Salt in food in BL world. （/TДT)/

BL survives on a massive audience. If authors get to enjoy the views, engagement, and support, then readers get to criticize too. It's a two-way street, not a VIP club where only praise is allowed.

Yeah they can criticize it sure. But you’re over here virtue signalling up a storm lol so I’m just thinking fluff would be a much better read for you. You won’t feel as stressed and we won’t have to deal with you complaining in the comment section. It’s a win-win.

Nobody’s explained why the relationship is romantic because... IT ISNT. The entire manhwa and the novel it’s based off of makes it extremely clear that there’s no love or romance in Jiwook+Juyeon’s relationship. Juyeon is going through obsession, he doesn’t actually like Jiwook and adult Jiwook never liked Juyeon in the first place.

The “magical land of fluff and good romance” is all over the place. And there IS plot to this story, if you read the novel or have even researched it you’d have an idea of what the plot is. Everything that’s happening right now is in accordance to the novel plot line, but the manhwa doesn’t go into as much detail (with dialogue and info dumping) as the novel does. You just kind of have to have a basic understanding of why things are happening the way they are for the events and passage of time so far to make full sense. If you’re going into this manhwa without knowledge of the novel, it’s just going to look like rapey smut
