Give her time geez. She first had to figure out who's behind it, and she did that this chapter. Was she supposed to lash out before knowing who to aim for? That would just worsen her reputation. She already told her subordinates she'd deal with the exam thing, so she already IS planning to take action. Just because it didn't happen immediately doesn't mean it's never gonna
I hope you're right. And I am giving her time. I didn't drop this lol. I'm just frustrated because in too many of these stories, the mc never actually loses the attitude.
I choose to believe in this MC's OP-ness. She's been pretty unapologetic so far. It will hold, trust
I think this is only for her character development. She’s never experienced lived her past life basically by herself, and only having to care about herself getting hurt. Because of that, I think that’s why she’s able to be more passive, since she’s willing to endure and wait for her revenge(like she’s currently doing against the main bad guy rn. She’s laying low and getting stronger before actually striking.)
However, she’s now experiencing the consequences for the first time since she isn’t used to having people around her that care for her and will be targeted by others. I think from now on, she’ll be more proactive about this, since she’ll realize that she has people she wants to protect(which is a theme about this whole story.)
Even in the recent chapter, she didn’t even realize she was angry until someone told her. She is not in touch with her emotions at all and she’s still learning more about herself. She’s not a character that’s finished developing yet, despite it being her second life.
I get the whole "I'm too cool to politically defend myself no matter how bad things get" is in vogue for emotionally stunted MCs but she is currently now evil.
It's one thing to let things go if it's just you, but she is now responsible for a lot of people, and they are suffering because of her inaction. Their suffering is her fault. She is to blame.
I hope she learns to care about that stuff so she can grow and be a proper leader. But for now, it's frustrating.
