The manhwa authors have the option to make creative liberties and they have before with the novel's author's permission ofc. There's a decent chance it might not go that route unless the novel's author really really likes that ending.
If you want my two cents, I think they already set it up so that Janica may end up winning, for the sole reason the only time Ed blushes is towards Janica.
That being said, at this point in time Ed recognizes none of them. I'm decently sure of that
After the latest chapters with all the romance development janica and loretil had with Ed (id how to spell the red heads name ) , I got curious and searched online who ends up winning.
The next part is spoilers so turn back now if you dont want that.
The ending is a harem ending where ed ends up with all 3 of the main girls (plus others i hear). Personally I'm not a fan of poly relationships (though thats just my opinion), and honestly I feel like harem endings are lazy writing, since readers go in with the expectation that the mc ends up with only 1 herione. Personally I much prefer it when an author has the guts to make the mc end up with 1 herione, even if it ends up enraging the whole fanbase (like quintessential quintuplets), rather than trying to appease everyone by making that the mc ends up with everyone.
