Maybe it was cuz he got rejected... or he sympathizes with yuwon a lot. Maybe he quit work because he couldnt see yuwon (possibly his crush) get hurt all while not being able to do anything... ?
But if you have a friend thats your crush and that gets bullied, you wouldnt want to just leave them behind, would you?
And why would he go right after that conversation/night out? Did he recommend going drinking as a means of making sure he really should go? If yuwon really does need him?

A bit unrelated I think, but there is a conversation here on mangago where people think that Seongmin is not really a good guy because we see him from Yuwon's unreliable perspective.
They also speak about how Dohun finds him getting bullied by his manager, just in the way he found him getting bullied by the boys at school. Yuwon has never really changed, so what makes us the readers think that his faulty perspective of the world has changed.

Yuwon is not okay. When they were living as teens, Dohun sees Yuwon hitting his head on their bedroom wall while he thinks Dohun is asleep. Yuwon has always had mental health problems and that makes his view of everything faulty.

yes im following… while i still somewhat suspect dohoon, i believe that he always tried to listen to yuwon and he was just unfortunate in that regard (the third bully dying) just like yuwon (we see that theyre more similar/resonate with each other more than they both realize). i need to read it again cause i m also constantly trying to decipher the dialogue and expressions because there can be soooo many interpretations for all the interactions in this story omg but yes i also think seongmin is almost certainly not dead. once i finish my assignments ill come back to this post and write something more fleshed out LOL

I genuinely think duhoon didnt say anything to him. He probably made small talk with him on that roof to maybe intimidate him or test his behaviour (if seongmin gets nervous around him, figuring yuwons and seongmin realtionship out or testing yuwons behaviour (maybe to try to see if hed protect seongmin like he did with duhoon or if hed get nervous, type shit)
I also always think that i misinterpret chap 32s end. seongmins prolly not indicating that an intimate relationship between the two would be better, but actually pointing out how seongmin himself isnt that important to yuwon (or rather their relationship / connection) and that yuwon is basically torturing himself for nothing.
quite sad how small relationships / bits of happy opportunities are enough for yuwon to stay in a place where he gets bullied
