Someone explain wtf happened with Harold in jsut assuming it was a rut gone wrong Anyone...

it was a setup by Winston’s family, they hated/still hate Yujin and how Winston has only ever had eyes for him and that he has been “wrapped around Yujin’s finger” (i’m assuming that’s how they think of it) since the day the two of them first met. I’m guessing that Winston’s mother, who is a beta woman and i’m assuming feels threatened by any and all omegas unless they are her children or grandchildren (although i’m not sure if she has any omega children or grandchildren), and didn’t like how Winston was obsessed with an orphan male omega who doesn’t come from a “good” aka wealthy and influential family and has nothing to his name, then possibly found out that Winston was either planning to propose to Yujin or bond with him and absolutely lost it, not wanting to “tarnish” the name of the Campbell family. So she roped Harold and the rest of their kids other than Winston into a scheme to drug Yujin to induce heat and plant him in Harold’s room, having Harold (whose pheromones apparently were almost identical to Winston’s, since they are father and son and both dominant alphas) release his pheromones and trick Yujin, who was delirious with heat, into thinking Harold was actually Yujin, and then make sure Winston saw Yujin clinging to Harold while in heat and make Winston think Yujin was sleeping with Harold. In fact from the spoilers I’ve read, Harold was originally supposed to rape Yujin while he was in that state of induced heat and he was going to but something happened just before he was about to and he didn’t go through with it. Anyway, they then used that, saying Yujin had “seduced” Harold, to kick him out of the house and make Winston despise him and not wanting to chase after him, but I don’t think they knew, nor do i think Yujin knew, that he was already pregnant with Angela, who is Winston’s child, when he got kicked out. Then before Harold died he maybe felt bad or knew that if Winston learned the truth he would probably take Yujin back, desperately begging because he never got over him, and so he added that clause to his will about nothing in the Campbell estate being passed onto any members of the family unless that clause is fulfilled, but i’m not entirely sure what his motive was

and because all of Winston’s close family know that the whole Yujin having an “affair” with Harold is fake and something they cooked up, and they probably know that Angela is very likely Winston’s child, that’s why they all got SOOOO nervous at the beginning of the story when they learn Yujin has been summoned for the will reading and tell each other to not tell Winston anything and that he can never find out the truth, and why they’re so horrified and hostile when the extra clause in the will is revealed, because they know the truth is bound to come out if Yujin and Winston are constantly spending time together even if they don’t get along, also they wanted Yujin gone for good and never marrying Winston and becoming the mistress of the Campbell house but that’s exactly the outcome of the will
