Don't worry, he'll start to grow on you later, and he and Eden actually becomes friends after putting aside their differences. I also read spoilers from novel that the system is strict and trashy due to someone designing it this way.

I'm not sure about outsmarting the system, but he later learns that the system needed to be designed this way in order to change the future and mend Eden's relationship with his group mates. In addition, it was actually created a few years after Eden left his group in his 1st life.
I'm only on chap 10 rn but Hajun is pissing me off so much I hate this guy with a fucking passion and this damn system shit is dumb as hell also the hell is this story?? all it's doing is pissing me off Hajun better get some character development or else I'll just hate him more and more ugh.
