Really age doesn't excuse his actions ur saying a 9yo kid knows everything in the world and that kid has mental issues have u ever met a 9 year old kid and Grayson never had proper guidance in life either just so u know, he was also abused by Ashley like made to sit in basement in dark alone and stuff too? I didn't justify Chase stuff here I am saying about the attempt on Koi.
As for Chase part, Grayson actually genuinely believed in his head that he was helping Chase which he was not and it did hurt Chase it doesn't excuse the pain he caused but his mental problems of not feeling emotions and only mimcing what Ashley does makes it justified on why he does them which he believes he helps but it hurts. I have explained it so many times how his brain works. Eventhough Grayson has done bad stuff to Chase in the name of helping and equally he has done gold stuff for Chase too like Looking after Chase pheremones and using himself as a labrat to treat chase or else Chase would be gone insane or coma by now without Grayson too.

You’re really just defending Grayson’s actions, that’s just sad. And why are u trying to justify the Koi situation??? I know you have explained his mental issues as you were saying elsewhere that he was a green flag, ABSOLUTELY NOT. Chase literally has trauma from Grayson and Grayson has not even apologized to Chase for his actions so that also says a lot. Sure, he believed he was helping Chase when he wasn’t. But he never holds himself accountable for his actions even when he has been told he is in the wrong.

^ Also I would like to add that the whole age thing is subjective, but Grayson should continue to be held accountable considering that his psychotic behavior continued on through adulthood and we saw with Chase. Just not something like the Koi situation, but still bad
I am justifying Koi situation bcse it's actually justifiable and literally Dane supported Grayson in that part like he said it's wrong but he literally understood Grayson more after hearing it?
He does apologise to Chase after Dane helps Grayson to feel and realise emotions at the end he apologized to everyone, Chase doesn't accept the apology but nonetheless he does apologise by himself without anyone saying him to apologise btw? It's a great character growth for people to realise themselves that they were wrong and apologise.

I mean honestly I can see your side of the Koi situation but in my personal opinion I can’t justify it. But definitely in that case both parties were wrong considering that they failed to properly explain Koi’s condition about sense of smell/taste. At least he did apologize then I’m almost done with the book but I honestly don’t recall that part, will reread again to confirm but I just remember the phone call between Josh and Dane and how Josh was still angry at Grayson too
The apology is in the epilogue. The problem is that Chase is unaware of Grayson's change and thinks he wants to trick him, so he doesn't accept the apology, but the apology was genuine. And Grayson will try again.
This is not about Chase accepting the apology or not, this is more about that Chase believes that Grayson really means it. That is actually important for Chase.
