you have this horrible generational cycle of hatred. letina’s father allows evan’s cherished younger brother, that he saw as a son, die. he resents letina and enoch in turn for it. genas falls for letina and views enoch as a son. iliad decides to kill everyone who threatens her legitimacy, so genas leads an insurrection. he sacrifices himself to a horrid woman for the protection of her power, all for his little brother. then we have the mess with the deposed princess and juliet’s older brother who also views her as a daughter. misplaced hatred begets misplaced hatred and this is why the curse was alive and well. some are lovable hypocrites others are simply terrible. i get that enoch didnt mention the border conflict since his life COULD be at risk, but call me crazy for not thinking that’s the same as knowing with absolute certainty youre going to die. juliet is holding enoch to an expectation of disclosure she does not hold herself to and i’m sick of them all beint dumb this better have a happy ending or so help me god
