yesss i was surprised about how realistic that part was where he still had those feelins like why did you do that to me cuz nothin was properly discussed and i don think this can be resolved easily since abandonment shapes a person. I would have been annoyed with the scene more if it was like everyone is happy go lucky and we will ignore the issue which they kinda did in front of the mom while the person affected is still goin through the motions of their emotions that only affected them and no one else
Honestly the mother has not had any character growth. Girl sees her sons for the first time in years, sees him drop to the ground balling his eyes out asking why she abandoned him and all she can say is sorry? In my opinion, he deserves an explanation.
Reading this chapter and seeing them interact like this, I was honestly judging the authors judgment. Especially the fact they made the husband and son coerce their loving family member into meeting someone they have every right not to want to see ever again.
The only character growth I see is him. He decided to face his fear and finally meet his mother after all these years despite her not deserving the chance (thats my opinion, see it how you will).
Seeing that after meeting her he still isn't fond of her made me happy, cause after the way she hurt him, she would need to put in a lot of effort to gain back any sort of relationship with him, rather than them meeting and it all being sorted.
