im black and theres absolutely nothing wrong with this
lmao, the fvking people who cancelled this are probably white ass fcking people lol we black people are actually chill about this and yall making it so big of a deal, it was a rough and tuff history, but it hurts if you keep on dealing in it. Weirdos
because you’re a desensitized freak. not everyone wants to read or see this kind of history being romanticized. no one is “chill” about this because - again - it romanticizes things that should be taken seriously. people want this kind of history to be taught properly. not be fed into whatever weird fetishes you like. clearly you’re a weirdo who just wanted to read two guys fvcking. get help or a reality check.
intent =/= impact. most people don't consciously think "alright, i'm gonna be racist" and do things. some things are borne of ignorance, not malice. it still doesn't change their negative impact when it comes to race, especially when it's basically "baked in" to society as most people know it.
i don't think the creator of this had any consciously racist intentions, but the setup of this work did not inspire confidence that it would handle the racial dynamics of the story well. as a result of feedback, the creator recognized their limitations (or the publisher simply didn't want the flack) and dropped the work. now they can come out with something else that better plays to their strengths.
Being Black doesn’t mean all Black people have to feel the same way about this.
If you’re okay with the story, that’s your opinion, and you’re entitled to it. But other Black readers are also entitled to feel uncomfortable with a romance between a Black slave and a white master based on a real history of racial slavery.
Saying “I’m Black, so there’s nothing wrong with it” doesn’t speak for the entire Black community. There are plenty of Black readers who found the premise offensive, just as there are some who didn’t.
This isn’t about telling people what they’re allowed to enjoy. It’s about acknowledging that a story built around a real history of slavery is naturally going to be controversial, and people have every right to criticize it if they believe it romanticizes that history.
You sound like a coon to me. A tap dancing idiot as well. Stop trying to ponder to the Asian masses, they will never accept you, they also hate you. Regardless of how YOU feel as an individual, the majority of us will not be as receptive to this kind of story or whatever it depicts . If they are going to write about a real historical event with real historical and modern day consequences then they should have done their research, they should have been more careful, they should have studied before writing. Even if they had no racial prejudice when creating this, they still created it, intention doesn't matter as much as action. And Saying is Fiction, does not undermine it's real world effects, fiction is not a monolith thing that stands solely on its own, it comes from reality and real life and real people and it can have real world impact.
i swear i like it when kayden acts so tuff but when he does like this, like acting so shitty and demands for shi is so annoying and stupid, and if the frame do ended up giving the cure bevause they were scared then it is just straight up bad writing imo lmao, and i lowk dislike the idea of kayden being the STRONGEST all the time lmao, just same plot all over again nothing new
