This is the best comment ever. People keep saying they can't forgive the mom. It's not like hye-sung fully forgave her but it's really a conflicting feeling because at the end of the day, she was still the person who gave birth to him and you already have this connection to your mom from the day you were conceive. It's a mom-child connection that's just magically there. Not even science can explain. I don't know- that's just my thoughts

Exactly, I really feel like everyone's being unreasonable by demanding everyone shutting grandma completely and deciding for hyesung, what he should feel or do. The author showed us, they have a story planned out for everyone, why would this plot line be any different.
Ya’ll it can’t be just black and white. Either you continue your relationship with your parents or cut them off completely. I’m never excusing the parents but they can fuck you up and you'd still want to have a mother , not a mother figure but your actual mother who you’ve known as a child! They can be absent your whole childhood and you would still long for a father . That’s the case with hyesung , he hates what his mom did , never understood why she did that to him but he still wants a mom. He mourns his dad but doesn’t want his presence because he’s not safe with him . Sometimes it’s grey not black or white.
