Wow this is actually so in depth thankyou fore explaining the situation between the family I've only read kiss me if you can and this one (which I am both enjlying) I have a lot of the others in my to read list but they look so intense so I've kind of been holding off on it which does make understanding some characters and their behaviour difficult but this explained a lot. And seeing Grayson in this after kmiyc has kind of shocked me because even though hes still messed up in this he seems so much more normal than in kmiyc with his attempt at "looking after and caring" for his brother. But in your explanation I see that even though its so messed up Grayson is actually the only one looking out for Chase.
i have a question. why is chase neglected? i haven’t the novels so haven’t figured it out. ive seen cmts like yours but they never include the reason why chase is so mistreated (im not saying anything could justify neglect towards a child) im just so confused why its chase specifically when hes just so sweet snd might be even sweeter if not for his family’s psychological abuse

wow thank you so much for elaborating every stories, like i get where you're frustrations are coming from but... I'd like to share my opinion if you don't mind., it's true that it's the parents fault for not treating the children how a parents are supposed to, but doesn't that happens in real life as well?! every family have there own problems and set backs, having a lot kids is hard not to mention them having psychological disorders, as for the parents i think it's because of their past trauma's as to why that's how they react or show emotions to the childrens, still you have point

I would just like to add that Ash and Koi seemed more interactive and attentive with Grayson was because it was Grayson who contacted and seek them guidance/permission. He was the one who was in complete contact with the parents, Nathaniel or Chase both has already severed their relationship with the parents. For Grayson, he had a happy family so kept in contact with everyone in the family.
And since he always involved the parents in his matters even love life that's why they also paid attention to it. And after ruining everyone at last with Dane and Grayson, they realised what wrong they has been doing.

There's a huge misconception in your perspective of Chase. Chase was a rude brat when he was a kid, Ashley had to be strict with him, bc he was already a little mad dog way before he got his trauma. That's why he keeps getting picked by Grayson, most of the time what Grayson does to him isn't bc he hates Chase but either he's trying to help Chase or preventing him from doing something bad.
But he's also a very sensitive kid, he was moody that both his parents had a hard time understanding him, plus his deranged siblings, he would also easily overthink about unnecessary things. In Chase's POV it seemed like he was being neglected, but in reality he was the first one to distance himself. I still blame their parents though, they didn't know how to handle each of their children, and Koi had the audacity to want 12 kids, can't even handle one tsk.
But honey I'm js saying don't get influenced by Joshua's perspective on Chase, he's not a sweet person, Chase also assaulted and traumatized ppl, Joshua never really fixed that shitty personality Chase has even up til the side story. He js looks vulnerable bc he only shows that side to Joshua, if Joshua wasn't stubborn and strong enough to handle Chase, Chase wouldn't pay him ang mind.
That does happen in real life that's why it's heavily advised not to have many children, but Koi stubbornly wanted many if not 12, ofc they only got 6. Nathaniel also didn't want to be by himself and wanted siblings. We can't really not blame the parents fully here, Koi wasn't in his right mind wanting that many kids, and Ashley let him be. It was selfish on their part especially since they can't even handle just 1.
guess they we're blinded by love that's why they just kept on making kids Ashley is already wealthy enough to support financially but they didn't consider the aftermath of it

Let me start with Ashley and Connor relationship {I won't speak much on Dominic and Ashley Juliet relationship because they are self explanatory being toxic and worst story}. Ashley and Connor was a good and positive relationship I enjoyed them at their high school the most. But I have so many complaints of them as Parents, it became super evident of how bad parents they both were from "Deflower me if you can". Let's start
= Chase - Chase was the most neglected in the family, it's truly evident from all the interactions present in the story. Ashley completely devoted his love towards Bliss cause he Bliss looked like connor and other 5 of his children looked like him and Dominic, which led to him being strict and not feeling love towards any of his other children it's just bad parenting when you completely isolate your children. While reading I felt chase might be the most disconnected person even from Koi it's evident even Connor doesn't have much affection for Chase. Ashley and Connor took care of Nathaniel, Grayson and Stacy at start more and Nathaniel grew estranged after the poisoned food incident more and they isolated Chase completely after that, Ashley and connor always fret over Grayson's Psychological Emotional deficiency problem, looked after stacy and showered love on Bliss. Ashley favoritism shows very evidentally towards Bliss. Nathaniel showed cold shoulder to Chase, Stacy used to beat Chase and many others. No one took care of gave a glance towards chase and the one who did and took care of Chase was Grayson I was surprised the only person to care in the family for chase is the emotional deficit person which didn't reap good results sadly leading for a lifelong traumatization. Imagine how bad parents must they be the only person who took care of your child was Grayson. While reading Grayson does harm chase but at the same time seems to care in his own twisted ways and loves him (yeah I don't believe it but he does care), the facts like only Grayson looked after chase's pheromones whereas no one in the family didn't give much glance, if Grayson didn't take care of Chase's pheremones I think we would'nt have had our sweet boy sadly.
= Nathaniel - Ashley is a psychotic person to treat Nathaniel with such estranged and hostile eyes towards your own born son like he posses both yours and your spouse connor's blood and you get jealous of Nathaniel being close to his own blood birth Father. Ashley needs a psychologist I always get the eww of MLs who are jealous of their own children. Then ashley also abandoned most of Nathaniel childhood too but koi did take care of Nathaniel for sometime but Nathaniel knew that his father Ashley gets jealous so he himself estranged from connor, also Ashley sending your young child I don't know what was his age but he was very young child to an orgy how much trauma does he has to take. It was nice that Nathaniel also moved little from the family and there are other factors too.
= Grayson - Grayson awakened as a dominant Alpha early and has that problem of emotional and empathy deficiency. Ashley handled it bad with Grayson, after the incident of 8 year old Grayson adding Cleaning agent into the food of connor as connor said he can't taste or smell food, which led grayson to be curious as evident as a child and adds it to test if connor is saying the truth leading a huge complication and connor almost dying. Ashley was stunned that all 3 of his children aka Nathaniel, Stacy and Grayson just stood there while their own mother connor was dying infront of them and didn't call for help, connor was saved thankfully ashley coming at the right time. The way ashley strangled Grayson to death and only stopping when he saw resemblance of Connor in Grayson, Ashley has ptsd from his father Dominic and Grayson seems to resemble exactly like Dominic like a carbon copy and Grayson always triggers ptsd in Ashley, It's understandable it's hard because he resembles your father but that doesn't mean you can strangled an eight year old kid and Grayson was hospitalized with serious complications it's sad. Then later after this incident Ashley seperated his children from Connor, Ashley gave a very hard regime and rules for Grayson with punishment which was borderline child abuse. Grayson didn't cross line after that and started to Imitate and do exactly as he is told by Ashley, he never attacks first and only uses self defence as thought by Ashley and everything we see of Grayson is based on ashley instructions. Ashley and connor both gave up trying to teach Grayson any emotions after trying their best which I understand the struggle. But Grayson wants to be close with his siblings and parents so he tries to do some pranks which were very harsh pranks and led to problems, so he just needs right guidance in love, help and social interactions which ashley failed to provide well. So he was lonely and searched for his fated partner to feel emotions in his life like his parents. For Ashley to accept and care for Grayson, he needs Grayson to learn how emotions work from Dane and after that Ashley started to like and care about Grayson and started to see connor resemblance more to like Grayson, Ashley you 2 decades late to start care about your child.
= Stacy and her sister (it starts from L but I forgot) - Stacy is what I might call is a milder Grayson we don't see much of her but she is messed up too. As for the other Sister L she is a Wanted criminal which we can guess is also by the neglect of the parents which led to this problem and messed up the life I didn't find much information other than that she has 8 or 9 wives.
= Bliss - The only person in the family who was not traumatized or has had bad experience. Because he resembled Connor so much Ashley loved him and cherished bliss which we see it in "Deflower me if you can". Bliss loves his siblings and his parents very much and he cannot take someone abusing his brothers or sisters. Nathaniel and Grayson took care of Bliss too because Nathaniel who gave cold shoulder to Chase but looked after bliss so well. There is a lot of cameos of others in his story showing him being cherished by Stacy too. He is like the golden child. Ashley wanted only one child who will resemble Connor but connor wanted 12 children and they stopped having children only after bliss because he looked like connor and that's what Ashley wanted so he has love overflowing for Bliss. Grayson also looked after and cherished Bliss. It's like all the neglected love was poured towards Bliss sadly.
Ashley and Connor if you guys couldn't look after 6 children then you should have stopped after Grayson and Stacy cause it left a very bad problems to your family. I don't know, I think everyone in the family just hates or blatantly ignores Chase except Grayson somehow he does care for chase in his twisted psychological ways. Ashley and connor started to love Grayson and Dane relationship and supported them so much which shows them being involved in Grayson life a lot and cares about him, ashley who is madly protective of Connor let connor use his pheremones on Dane to heal Dane which he would have never allowed in any circumstances, showing that Ashley cares about Grayson and his future. I think in the family they only care about Bliss, Grayson and maybe Stacy too whereas other childrens are just on their own to fend.
