I'm sorry but japanese bl is so boring now, I'm browsing renta but all the new releases are just so uninteresting to me 90% of the bl I read for the past 3 years or so are korean and I feel like their plots are so much more interesting.
Plus my favorite type of uke are the buff muscular ones and korean bl artists don't play around when they draw buff ukes. Buff ukes are kinda rare in jp bl and I know there's bara but I just dislike the art style that is typical of the bara genre.
I got into bl because of japanese bl and even learned japanese just to be able to read them in their original language but man... hopefully I'll get out of this slump soon
I also tried jp bl novels but the trend for it nowadays are still mostly isekai or "transmigration into a villain character but I don't want to get executed etc so I'll just live quietly" and then proceed to interfere with the story and changed the people around them and somehow still gets shocked that the original main character fell in love with them type of trope
