I think the reason why the wish didn't work was because the wish focused on the dragon but there is the egg and Haon did love it. Remember, if Haon wants it, the Dragon will grant it.

I am curious though why in this life Haon suddenly wanted to remember his previous life and what's different this time when the seme supposedly met other previous Haons before.
