5/10 rating. it has potential, but definitely should’ve been a full fledged story. the last chapter felt so outlandish, the author just dropped like a bunch of lore and called it a day. If the author didn’t spend half the chapters on smut where basically the characters are in the exact same positions with very identical dialogues each time, this story could’ve been paced decently with well-executed plot. I like the idea of a semi-normal society that functions even with zombies, but this just focused on a lot of irrelevant stuff with the characters going back on forth on the same exact topics.

the concept is a little unique, where zombies are more or less docile creatures unless provoked, making them more like animals than the usual monsters. this causes a society that has to live with these zombies which, if it was in more capable hands, could’ve been a great plot that speaks of the ethics of dealing with people who can’t contribute to society due to illnesses that impair cognitive function because of the zombie infection.

This mirrors how irl countless politicians that want to defund organizations that take care of people who are ill both physically and mentally, and also the mistreatment of those who are in psych wards and the judgement one receives for being in one. But unfortunately, this story didn’t do anything like that even though it laid the groundwork for it.
