1. Rian piqued Loren’s interest with the microchip thing. Why exactly, we don’t know. Probably because Rian proved himself to be a good chase/challenge that would keep Loren from getting too bored. Plus, Loren found him attractive from the very beginning.
2. Loren doesn’t want Rian fucking everyone because he’s a possessive narcissist and wants Rian’s attention all on him. He doesn’t love him at this point in the story, he just sees him as something to dominate, own, and conquer. Allowing Rian to fuck other people would be giving him too much agency.
3. Loren needs Rian’s skills as a connector to get him the meetings he needs. He knows Rian isn’t the real connector, but he still needs his skills regardless and Rian willingly offered his services to him, so he has no reason to say to at the moment. As for why Rian keeps coming back, I’m not 100% sure on this but he’s probably trying to salvage any kind of information that might help his agency get back on its feet. Loren probably already knows this but doesn’t see the agency/Rian as much of a threat in their current state. Besides, he’s been doing a pretty good job at neutering them anyway.
