It's a great series imo. it's a murim story planted in reality, no aura or a herb that gives you 1000 xp. It's a lot of struggle for survival.
I get why people are annoyed at the MC's lover but it feels like y'all are trying to cockblock fr. She knows the risks and still followed him, it was his choice to want to be with his lover. Let the man have something to be happy about, damn, otherwise it's just all deaths and a position he didn't ask for.
I also understand why people are annoyed at Sogo, she expected help and gave none in return. She's even the one who pushed the MC to be in this precarious situation. But, that's how she was raised to think. She was the elders' hope of reviving their sect. She was taught the old ways and how things were, so I understand why she expects all those to fall into place. And now look where it got her, right in the same position their sect were in the beginning; being hunted.
