One of the main guys' father left him and his mom when he was young with another woman. Even though he used to love his mom so much. So the main guy became wary of love.
But then met the lover, everything was doing good. Til the father got ill. The main guy didn't wanna meet the dad, but was convinced by the lover.
So he met his dad, dad said sorry that he was stupid for leaving them, that he got swindled by that woman. The main guy was OK but then dad said he wanted to get back with mom. That's when the main guy got furious (I mean who wouldn't???)

well ive been wanting to be one since i was a kid cuz i found them so freagin cool in lab coats. And now i just think its a pain to change my goal anymore cuz ive been wanting to be one for yrs and changing it now will be bit troublesome since i alrdy have prepared to do it when the time comes and i doubt ill ever still find a job ill want more than being a doctor l. And then theres my passion as a butt lover so......

Why did they narrate it like that?? What do you mean the merciless blade of anticipation?? What do you mean he's too young to get rid of it?? What's gonna happen?!?!?
I read it as hope; like a hope for the future with said person or a form of attachment and reliance/dependency on a person. He is just a child who will easily cling to this warm embrace (acceptance).
However, this can become a cruel and painful blade against the prince since this attachment just became his weakness; where others can easily exploit or target.
He is too young to hide or back away from this feeling and he is too young to defend or protect this one weakness.
So yea... that's a really ominous message...
