But then met the lover, everything was doing good. Til the father got ill. The main guy didn't wanna meet the dad, but was convinced by the lover.
So he met his dad, dad said sorry that he was stupid for leaving them, that he got swindled by that woman. The main guy was OK but then dad said he wanted to get back with mom. That's when the main guy got furious (I mean who wouldn't???)

But at the end, the lover disappeared because he was dead a long time ago. On his birthday, and he couldn't get over it...

It was a yaoi or BL. Either way it was about a friend (and also our main's crush) who is supposed to be dead but he's not and now an architect. They talk about a picture of the bird's foot getting out of the shell quite a lot.
