if i recall correctly, Jaeyoung from dream boy was forcefully given a drug by his ex that's why he can't feel emotions. that drug was circle-shaped and has a "smile" design, kinda like "happy" their stage name. Seungmin knew that's why he's helping Jaeyoung to slowly recover his emotions

seungmin had accidentally read happy’s letter to his fans in the very first episodes and then looked him up. seungmin also knows an industry insider and asked him about the scandal that jaeyoung was involved in. so i’m guessing he also deduced stuff on his own after having spent time with jaeyoung. and right now he’s been working with one of his friends to crack down the happy (drug) dealers iirc.
