That BIRD was getting abused from beginning to end there was no “we hurt each other because of our own ignorance” it was just him getting beat on by a boxer the whole time. A better ending would have been the two separating and going on to live their own lives, Jaekyung with no Jinx and no need to victimize poor gay people. Kim dans grandma telling him to explore the world as a way to set him free from a life of misery and a parting gift as she passes. (Jaekyung funds Kim dans explorations of the world as an apology) cause respectfully none of that was out of love.
