This series has me shackled till the last, savoring eveey bit of it. I keep thinking and analyzing each panels. Boggling my head!
Visual Design Appreciation: 1. Details and xompositions/poses: The compositions and dynamic poses are always fresh, nothing is repeating. Each panel has its own design. Her clothes are always consistent despire having so much variant to the dresses. Her hair is always tied in such elaborate ways. Nothing here is being lazily made, its deliberate. They incorporated so much painting-worthy poses into this. And my god the perspectives as well. The long panels that show them dancing, praising her and fearing her, so macabre!
Have you also noticed that she was always depicted as a bigger person here? Meaning she was someone who has 'control' or 'dominance'
2. Art forms and media: Tell me this isn't 'Phantom of the Opera' coded, I will definitely deny that. This also is dedinitely, DEFINITELY inspired by 'Evangeleon.' Her eyes and aura are the biggest giveaway why, I mean its is in her name too, get it? I love how they incorporated 'Art Nouveau' into this. Its so wonderful.
Stoey: 1. Why its interesring: All the story of side characters was all interesting. I feel that its because we always had a back to back perspective on each side of the coin. Its so exciting how everyone gets fooled from their own perception and opinion of others. Also, a grain of proof why people would probably go crazy as well in the medieval times. I feel like this was inspired by d3ad people in hospitals, (few rare cases) rose from minutes of dy1ng. Maybe thats why people back then went batshit from superstitions because of actual scientific cases they experienced.
2. Superstitions and themes: Obviously the story likes to humour superstituons. At the same time making it real in the story. Its a fun twist for sure. Imagine being scared of this person and what you believed about them fpr some time is actually true. Thats hilarious.
Its great to see another possibility how people will react when someone just rose from the dead after being, supposedly, gone. Unlile the typical amnesia excuse after reincarnation. It really explored the topic well and stayed true to it.
Personal opinion how I enjoyed this: (ㆁωㆁ) jist wanted to point out fun references I noticed
