I don’t think people are overreacting. My issue isn’t that the chapter included assault it’s that the author keeps treating assault like it’s just another smut scene. A topic that serious shouldn’t feel fetishized or be used purely for shock value. You even said yourself that rape isn’t going to be treated seriously because it’s a smut comic, and that’s exactly the problem. If the story is going to include sexual assault, then it should actually explore the trauma and consequences instead of using it as entertainment. I don’t need graphic scenes to understand why a character hates someone. The author can tell us what happened without turning it into a detailed scene that feels more focused on titillation than the victim’s experience.
I wanted that too in the start but I’ve realised that this is not what the author is gonna do. Like I mentioned in my comment, this comic relies heavily on smut, if people forgot just because the story is peak. In such comics these topics are fetishised because like you and I said, they’re for shock value and for a little bit of non-con. Srsly don’t take this as me dismissing you cuz I 100% understand where ur coming from, for me personally, I don’t rlly take a lot in this manhwa seriously. Like this where I come to read wack smut and that’s what I get, it’s still a good story besides from that but ive come to terms with the fact that also like in a generic smut story there’s stuff the author’s gonna do that I won’t like. This sounds crazy but I’m numb to SA in swallow you whole at this point, this conversation can be extended to other manhwa’s though, just adding a rape scene is so off putting and random. I rlly wish that stopped being the norm in yaoi

Y’all are overreacting omg i thought the chapter was fine, also it gave us a reason why Jaheon might hate Muhan. This might piss some of you off but if you were expecting a story with no rape and dub-con this isn’t for you. 1, Literally the first time they do it in this comic is when Mugo forces him and Jaheon never brings it up again 2, This is still a comic that relies heavily on smut like no offence but rape is not gonna be treated seriously, did we not see that in S1 where he runs away and those demon things assault him. Y’all gotta understand in media that’s essentially porn, every scene is like a smut scene even the uncomfortable ones, the non-con scenes are done as shock value and that’s it. 3, If the story does decide to take itself seriously in this aspect, like I said before this provides us a reason why Jaheon might hate him. Lee Muhan is essentially just a stranger in love with him who forces himself on him and then becomes even more obsessed. Honestly i js wanna get back to future Mugo and Jaheon already.
