Hmmm...so Pungho finally figures out his true identity, they have their time together, the Woo is likely forced by his dad who knows something is going on to betray him or he dies, so betrayal was the only option till they could both either kill or neutralize their fathers and more specifically his, which led to the Great Chasm of Absolute Despair.
