Everyone is talking about how dismissive he is about sherina's death but are we forgetting the guy he was?
Idk maybe I'm too de-ad inside but I wouldn't be sad about someone I didn't know who died, even if it's a child.

He cares about hela because he lived a few years with her and now thinks of her as her family, he still doesn't give a f about people outside of his family, he only feels guilty about his niece but that doesn't mean he'd be sad about her death, the kid he cares about is hela, with her characteristic, not some kid whom he never even saw her face

I think his behavior is completely normal. That is who he is. We as 21 century people do know kids starving to death is a very bad thing (although it still happens and no one gives a shit), but in the story, it's not, sherina was a bastard kid and people dying is not that rare of a thing in that era. He probably still doesn't think her death is that big of a deal, guilt is the most he can feel and honestly I think that's understandable
