The most important thing in Danes life is his cat so he can seriously emphathise with someone who's pet is in trouble. In the end it was Dane's choice and for a confident fire fighter like himself it probably didn't feel like a serious life or death situation for him and just a risky one. I love my dog, he's been with my during the most difficult time in my life, if a fire fighter was willing to go into my burning house to save my dog I would be incredibly grateful
Bruhhh, I don't know why you are making a fuss about it. First of all, we can't do anything about it if its their duty and they are obviously aware of the possibility of dying and getting injured during their mission. As you can see, the civillian wanted to go in but the firefighters never let him. If they let the civillian to go inside because they couldn't stop him, then it's another life to save. He is completely in a panic mode and can't think straight because of his precious dog. Dane owns a cat so he probably knows how's that civillian is feeling at that moment so he volunteered.
You know what, this shouldn't be an issue at all. It's happening in real life and those public servants are ready and trained so they have to do their task. Saving or not, people like you always have something to say.

For a dog...
