i’ll agree that for smth like this, it’s really like you should’ve known exactly what ur getting into. however, imma disagree with your main point here. this is a review section, so ppl are allowed to complain about smth or express their opinions. just saying a bunch of compliments and being grateful to the author for existing is just the death of literacy. i’d have disliked it if someone were sending death threats or hating on the author on their social media. ppl read illegally because they can’t afford it, it doesn’t negate the validity of their opinion if they dislike smth. if i were to read something on here that doesn’t have any criticisms in the topics section then id just assume it was a masterpiece, then get blasted w a bunch of stuff that nobody mentioned on here bc ppl would feel bad for criticizing. so no,ppl aren’t inherently “kids” for complaining bc they can’t pay for chapters.

and no, you’re inherently wrong on the basis that you’re trying to regulate what people say in a comments section, taking away the agency that people have in free speech. mangago already has set rules for what is allowed to be spoken on here, such as no racism and that the comments should actually relate to the comic that they’re posting it under. stop trying to shepherd people in what they’re allowed to say just because you dislike what they’re saying. just downvote it and move on, or argue against what they’re saying by replying to it. or hell, you can complain specifically about what people are saying in ur own comment, just don’t make the crux of ur argument that they need to pay to complain.
ur last sentence also is contradictory to what you’re saying overall. so people can be plain assholes if they paid for the comic? make that make sense. if you’re allowed to read somewhere illegally, you might as well be able to comment on said website illegally. don’t just pick and choose what people are and aren’t allowed to do. it’s fiction, and it doesn’t hurt anyone if i said, “i dont like this story its bs” vs “i don’t like this story because the characters aren’t well-developed and the plot is self-indulgent”. unfortunately, mangago took away the actual reviewing section of comments, leaving us to only be able to post on the topics section, so you have to surf through both people talking about random chapters and people actually reviewing the comic overall. so because both have merged to serve as the same function, that leaves both types of conversations valid to have on here
