From what I have read in the comment section about Grayson pov and reading manhwa .. i think the illustrations made him look more rude and unemotional and the situation itself made in a way that readers hate Grayson more.. ( as in a part of novel it's definitely written that he was anxious too about dane being stuck there)

As a manhwa reader till now from reading manhwa, i don't find it surprising when Grayson leave him and saying those things as he was depicted that way till now, as a psychopath who doesn't understand emotions well, learn to mimick from others( that a condition of his)..but reading that part from novel made me more surprised .. he really is not that bad as that in manhwa in this part.. he tried his best to make dane go back with him and dane didn't listen and he was left alone with no choice but to leave.. so thank you for the readers who uploaded the part from novel

Also one of the firefighter told him to follow the orders of dane no matter what and dane said him to leave and he does the same, and as he was like that from the start in the manhwa, i mean his personality, we can predict that much from the reading manhwa, but if they had added Grayson's pov many of us must have understood Grayson situation and may not have hated him in this chapter.. hope they stick to the same as novel in the coming chapters, so that we don't get such misunderstandings anymore

Agreed. I feel like the manhwa is deliberately framing Grayson through an outsider's perspective right now, and maybe that'll change once his past and POV are revealed. I remember my opinion of him shifting a lot after that scene with the kid in the novel. I'm fine with him coming across as childish and self-centered for now—I just hope the adaptation does a good job of unfolding the other layers of his character later on.
