It's not bad at all. The Dom has twice basically started a "punishment" for personal reasons basically, and the bottom is okay with that and content with their relationship. Even asking for more. They're fictional characters being kinky, sort messy, and happy. People are mad because they misunderstood the title to mean the author MUST follow irl bdsm rules at all times.
I think the story is pretty good! I'm someone who's heavily involved in the kink scene and I think overall this series does a really good job straddling the line between realistic bdsm and fun fantasy bdsm.
Do I like the way the Dom is acting rn? Not really. But it will either hopefully be a part of his arc if this is a more serious story or it will prove that this series is for smutty fun times only. I'm cool with either direction, I just thought that this series was gonna be a more serious leaning at the start and would love to see a dom who's flawed and healing/ handles things poorly after his own trauma navigate his bdsm relationship with someone he loves. But if that doesn't happen, as of right now I still think it's a fun and pretty good bdsm read!
