The saddest thing is both ML and MC are victims in different area. ML is the actual target of the kidnapping, getting severe ptsd until he became an adult, and the only person he remembered as the one who's responsible for the whole thing is MC.
While MC, as the orphan, couldn't do anything outside what was told to him just to survive, but risking his own safety to save ML, and will be forever in danger as long the actual villains are still alive since I believe there's no way they will let him live peacefully the moment they get released from prison.
