There’s something seriously sketchy about how Teach handles everything going on around him! Idk, but it feels like he’s way too chill when it comes to murder and all the blood and gore. Yeah, sure, he gets shocked, anxious, and stressed, but a few minutes later? He’s completely unfazed and collected.

That is just not normal. Imo, the initial reaction of someone witnessing a bloodbath like that should be a full-on panic attack, screaming, throwing up, trying to bolt, or even passing out! But he just stood there shocked for a couple of seconds, accepted the situation, and handled it with pure calm and composure. Moving forward the second he heard a cry for help makes it look like he’s actually used to holding a weapon and moving swiftly. I don’t know if I’m just tripping, but could Jinwoo’s lost abilities be surfacing now that he’s a Hound?!

And if you guys noticed, Dr. Lim mentioned before that he’s the only one who hadn't seen Guwon’s true colors before coming here. Everyone else had a traumatizing experience with Guwon, like seeing him murder their loved ones or carry out executions, so the civilians’ calm behavior here comes from just being desensitized to it. But Jinwoo’s reactions don’t align with a normal person who has never seen a murder scene in their life.

Also, Teach literally tried to kill Guwon on his very first day in the village…that’s bizarre! who the hell just sleepwalks and suddenly becomes violently murderous?! The further we get into the story, the more I’m convinced that Guwon didn’t kill Teach’s dad. I feel like the ultimate plot twist that’s gonna turn this whole story upside down -even more than the question of whether Guwon is a human or an undead- is who actually killed Teach’s dad.
I’m lowkey terrified that Jinwoo himself might be the one who killed his own father. In his dreams and during his sleepwalking episodes, he’s always holding a knife or trying to choke someone! It feels like something incredibly traumatic happened, something so intense that Jinwoo fought back hard by completely wiping it from his memory. I think it goes way deeper than just his dad being murdered ! ( ̄へ ̄)

I thought the same thing especially when he was searching the bodies, most people would be too shaken to do that. And I just noticed that even with the cover art it kinda gives a little insight into who Jinwoo may be or become, but ik that’s a bit of a stretch tho lol.

I think from the few things we’ve seen regarding Jinwoo’s character; when put in traumatizing situations, he pretty much becomes disconnected from what’s happening around him and freezes. That itself is kind of a normal reaction since everyone reacts to shocking things differently. Imo, it just feels like that’s how he deals with those things. But, you really might be right about being skeptical of him.

After all, Guwon did say he and Jinwoo were similar and that he liked him for that. And if they really are similar in all sorts of ways then it really rises suspicion… It kind of worries me, if Jinwoo does end up being completely unfazed by these things and becomes tainted by everything he sees, he’d really be terrifying for sure. I hope Guwon or the hounds don’t rub off on him in that way. He seems quite righteous especially in his goals and it feels like that’s something that won’t change for the next few chapters…

    I really like your theory! (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

No, you’re actually totally right! I noticed the difference between the Webtoon’s season 1 and season 2 covers too!

On the season 1 cover, Guwon looks completely dominant, looming over Jinwoo with this super confident, kinda smirk that honestly gives off villain vibes, if you know what I mean? Meanwhile, Jinwoo looks totally submissive, dazed, and his eyes just look completely lost.

But on the season 2 cover, it’s the exact opposite!
Jinwoo is the one who seems in control now, standing above Guwon with this lowkey confident smirk. Plus, he’s holding a weapon ..this could totally be teasing Jinwoo’s future role as a Hound, or maybe even him becoming the leader of the Hounds…!
On the flip side, Guwon looks completely whipped. His expression is just pure heart-eyes, and he’s smiling like someone who’s deeply in love, holding onto his partner.

Exactly! I'm not saying his reaction has to be completely abnormal, and of course, trauma responses differ from person to person.

Especially since Jinwoo doesn't really seem like them (at least for now)—he comes off as a genuinely righteous and good person. He’s out here trying to save the villagers, so he might just be fighting his own reactions to blend in and look like one of them. Since his plan to join the Hounds HAS to succeed no matter what, keeping his composure is a total must here.

Honestly, I don’t think Jinwoo could ever end up becoming corrupted unless one specific thing happens: he gets his memory back, and turns out his past was already dark or messed up like that.
