I mean... he did kinda suck a bit, but it was more that he was kinda dumb, than an irredeemable pos.
Like he wasn't a good guy but I don't think he was the worst guy either. He was definitely selfish, but he wasn't out to hurt Minji.
The story also wasn't really about him, so I can see why they left out an ending for him. It might be cool to have him have a side story of his own, where he learns to be less selfish and finds a lover of his own.
MC still treating him as friends and didn't want him to suffer so much like him last 2 year before (like having a rest year for celebrities and having overcome their depression self) so MC wishing he don't suffer, and saying farewell in the end, I think it better ending to it so they could move on
