Calypso has lived more than three lives and it showed that the grandmas ways have failed. Calypso is trying to prove her grandma wrong. If the grandma changes its not going to be for the worse because she saw how she destroyed her kingdom by her own negligence.
I don't know if it's just me but im confused why he made the grandma remember all calypso lives, cuz like the whole point of regression is that she now has the power of knowledge, using that there is no element of surprises and she is aware of all kinds of shemese against her and can plan against it, even against her own grandma which gives her the upper hand. Having the grandma now with the same amount of knowledge can make things difficult for calypso if grandma chooses to take different actions than all the past lives alterating with that the present
