Being dependent on someone fully with nothing to your name could lead to them abandoning you one day leaving you with nothing again or even worse so from my point of view I understand MC, you can't just depend on one person BUT listen it's different when they're not your everything, if they're just there to help you stand on your feet and they're not your feet it doesn't hurt to get their financial help, if it was me I'll take any help I hate struggling, if they gift me stuff and yes even if that gift was fricking house I would take it, of course all that stuff needs to be in my name, I'll not depend on that person fully tho I'll still study, find job, try to learn more and more but since they'll be the one that helped me make my life easier of course I too will try my best to repay them one day
