came back to mangago after 192 days because of exams lock in, where are my manga???

i don’t know if this is a common and annoying question at this point but- here goes anyway. i was addicted to mangago about 8 months ago and would read for over 8 hours a day, AT LEAST. it got so bad to the point that whenever i needed to study, i’d just be wondering about the next chapter to something, and had over 45 manga updating daily. so safe to say that my marks plummeted and it was getting really bad.

i cold turkey quit mangago and manga as a whole, promising myself i’d be back on the last day of my exams. well, today my exams have ended. i was hoping to come back and catch up on everything over the summer but i had over 2000 manga in my reading section and read section. where the hell did they go?? and i haven’t tagged a manga/ manhwa since 2023 so idk where to go.

is there a way to recover them at all? or is it actually wraps for me gng

Yeah there was a huge disk crash back in January ╥﹏╥
Everyone lost their lists aside from any works that you either tagged or rated. Most of us have just had to build up from scratch and help each other find certain works again

The Great Reset: Back in late January, a vast load of people descended upon this website. It overloaded the servers causing a massive crash. Much was restored. But unfortunately, the disk that held our lists was irreparable. MGOs developers worked hard, but, alas, they were only able to retrieve your books if you rated or tagged them. Those that were able to be recovered were sent to your Already Read list. You'll have to sort that list as you start to rebuild all your lists.

    Rebuilding Your Lists:

    1. Use your previous (old) notifications to add to your reading lists. (This has been tested and works to start receiving notices again.)

    2. If you have any bookmarks -- re-add them to your lists.

    3. Use any previous comments (topics) you've left on stories here to help your lists.

    4. Use your history (clock icon) to add to your lists. (If you see nothing, click the "Show All" link. It may show something.)

    5. If you have a favorite author, find a story written by them and start adding the comics listed under their name.

    6. If you follow someone look through their lists and start adding them to your lists from there.

    7. If you have a favorite unofficial scan group -- use their website to add to your list. If they are defunct then use Baka Manga or another avenue to see what series, they worked on to add to your lists.

Below was created by another user to help save your lists. I use a spreadsheet, so I haven't tested this.
