Honestly, the beginning half wasn't too bad. But the depth of the MLs' feelings are so shallow becus there just isn't enough development, like Kael feels like he can breathe around Jinsoo and has a crush to the point of obsession, ok fine that can make sense. But then his side of the development just completely disappears the moment Ian appears and maybe when he had that confrontation about his obsession but that's about it.
Then Cedric didn't even get a chance bro... Like he would feel indebted to Jinsoo for saving him and his family and feel smth for him, I get it but he barely even appears. Literally the only times he appeared subsequently was when Jinsoo is in trouble and need saving or the misunderstanding around Shae/Jina. Maybe I can close one eye and say that it shows that if u dun do smth about ur feelings, someone else will but like, Cedric didn't even have a chance.
Don't even get me started with Carsen. Honestly of all the male love interests, I dun really like the fact that he is the one Jinsoo ended up with. He's the only one that knew Maythan before Jinsoo took over and he's constantly obsessing over that version of him, that even at the end he still doesn't seem to be over with, that's just unhealthy and confusing Maythan with Jinsoo and vice verse. Then the multiple times he forced himself and assaulted Jinsoo??? Once when he was inebriated and unable to consent, twice when he fking said no! He also semi-threatened Jinsoo to keep his promise and saying that he could've kidnapped and locked him up but he didn't is supposed to be romantic?? Nope, he is a red flag and I hate the fact that he was the one given so many chances in the story to develop smth with Jinsoo. Even Kael has more character development than him, though not much better considering he also forced himself onto Jinsoo and kept touching him. Literally Cedric is the only one who kept Jinsoo's freedom, consent, safety, feelings and respecting his boundaries in mind
