It's done on purpose to show that the ML was smitten with MC from day one and MC got dragged along with ML advances? It's basically done to show how MC doesn't manage to process the sudden and fast developement himself. I don't think it's that bad as it's just the setup for what's to come. Not everything needs to be written down
The pacing is lowkey so weird
Like sm is happening and the first 2 chapters could’ve easily been dragged out to 10, but it’s just one scene to the next….
