Honestly, I feel that Alpha dad wasn't trying to be toxic, but he could've done it a better way. Grayson was born with lack of emotion, meaning lack of guilt and conscience. He almost killed his omega dad out of pure curiosity and he still didn't understand why it was wrong. He even accidentally manipulated someone to commit murder and his excuse was, "I didn't tell him to do it. I just gave him a suggestion." That meant trying to reason with him using empathy and morals with him would not work like most kids so the only other way to prevent kids from doing bad things would to either scare them or have them experience negative consequence like if you do A, bad thing B will happen to you. And it didn't help the Grayson looks and acts the most similar to the grandfather, who was an extreme toxic and obsess Alpha that killed his fated omega and then himself after. Alpha dad also has his own darkness and trauma from grandfather too and he's terrified Grayson will turn into the grandfather if they don't nip it in the bud as soon as possible.

Reading all spoiler from novel reader, i start thinking that Ashley is a toxic father? Why did he abused his own child? Since i also have an abuser as parent, i kinda hate Ashley now (/TДT)/
