Honestly great. MCs are both flawed humans and make flawed choices but they are self-aware and reflective. The biggest barriers to their happiness are social status, no communication(but in ways that make sense based on the circumstances), and personal goals. Strong parallels to Count of Monte Cristo with the revenge plot.
My biggest gripe is that the clothing is sooo inconsistent with which time period they are in. The love interest is dressed in 1810s Regency era (think Pride&Prejudice), for the first half of the story most characters are vaguely dressed in 1770s(think Marie Antoinette), the princesses hair is 1850's(think american Civil War), the last third there are many characters suddenly dressed in 1890s Victorian era suits and dresses, then there's a random dude at the end in a 1910s suite with a fedora/boller hat! THE STORY TAKES PLACE DURING WOLFGANG AMADEUS MOZART'S LIFE, while he was at court! They literally mention Mozart falling out of court favor!!!! He was born in 1756 and died in 1791!!!!
Ahem, my advice is to never take an interest in historical dress so you can continue enjoying historical fiction in peace
