That they gave the guy a sad backstory like, comeeee onnnnn, you’re telling me rich billionaire conglomerate CEOs give a fuck about their trauma when they are fully capable of snorting crack off of a Victoria’s Secret model’s back in Ibiza? ok let’s start this off by saying I loved this manwha a long time ago but now that i’ve finished it i have some thoughts. First of all did like the beginning
plot line on how a murder ends up kidnapping someone random which messes up the plans, the first and second season imo were good. I believe the downfall of this story happens in the last season.
I didn’t really like the style change I preferred the dark tones and sharp lines over the jelly look because of the story itself but it’s the artist style so can’t complain too much
A few things I hated about this story was the fact that a lot of the supporting male characters genuinely looked the exact same I couldn’t tell who was police or in the red light district there is. awful same face syndrome/ lack of defining features which made the story 100% confusing.
one thing i absolutely despised was the fact of the random “side couple” that was not only unneeded but the fact that it was complete bullshit. si-eon was obviously an awful person with insane ulterior motive. he’s not much different than the men who abused mc, yet he still gets a happy ending because han-gyeol believes that he’s a good guy or some bs like that. pissed me the hell off. like are u dumb?? this guy used you as a replacement stfuuu
both of them pmo and I know it’s supposed to show the difference in morality and how everyone is morally gray in some way but that doesn’t make me hate it any less
But continuing off that, the author has a very strange r4pe fetish and i’m not even reaching atp. I can understand why it’s in the story because of prostitution and sx work but to make it so graphic and include scenes of dirty talk make it seem like it’s supposed to be smut instead of a vile act. there are subtle ways to show sa instead of drawing a whole chapter about it and then make 10 more chapters of the same situation it’s distasteful and unsettling. also wanted to mention the fact that when they are having sex they keep calling him a “kid” too which is genuinely insane like wtf
anyway i’m half of yall probably don’t care but this is just my thought process through the story the main couple were cute at times but most of the stuff around them kinda made it unenjoyable
