I would like there to be no rape or abuse in my story at all but even if there is, I want the author to do their due diligence to at least show us how that rape or abuse affected the story as a whole and the aftermaths of it.
For example, Suah raping Jh did not come out of the blue for me. I knew he was the type to do it and the story was building up to it. But the fact that the author brushed it off too easily and did not even bother addressing afterwards was a major problem. It felt like that scene was to show sex only. That's it.
