Also no one is forcing you to pay for this manga, its completely normal no matter if its for manga, books, movies, shows with releasing episodes or new seasons to take several months. Weekly updates are rare and very hard to do, Hiatuses happen due to sickness or irl events that the author attends. Waiting 1-2 Months for the final 2 chapters is not that much jesus christ how can someone have such little patience Imagine you draw and write such a manga every single week. You would also take breaks, vacations, probably even longer than what most mangaka/authors do. Just look at any job outside of being a mangaka. Most ppl work 5-6 days a week but they still have a Weekend of where they don't have to do anything, meanwhile Mokumokuren has been making this Manga since 5+ years now if i remember correctly. The released are consistent enough and if you cant handle waiting some weeks then just dont read active manga and wait until theyre finished?? Its a good sign for authors to take extra time to work on entire chapters, that way they aren't rushed, have the best quality of art and also creativity input into their work. Think of the human nature before saying or thinking this way. We can be grateful enough for such an outstanding Manga to exist to begin with. Notoriously publishers for any mangaka and anime studio are all also awful and overwork their writers A LOT. Japan is very known for overworking their workers no matter which occupation they have. You should also remember that mokumokuren is the author of this manga, but theyre obviously involved in the production of the Anime, the Novels and also the live Action thats planned to come out in thr future. That's a lot to work on all at once.

i use a pirated website because i cant share my opinion through a downloaded digital copy of a chapter… if you took the time to properly read my comment then you would understand i dont mind WAITING for a release, i actually ENCOURAGE it. i literally said i would prefer to wait for a monthly release per chapter than having to read a weekly release. i also mentioned that authors should be given ADEQUATE time to complete chapters because i disagree with the idea of overworking people. i studied art for almost a decade so i understand the difficulties of keeping yourself healthy and maintaining a consistent work flow without getting art block/burn out but there is a reason as to why we have scheduled releases. 2 weeks per half ch, 1 month per ch, or 1.5 months per ch sounds like a much better idea which will keep the flow of chapters more consistent without affecting the length of a chapter. a good example would be the author of chainsaw man. his art style went downhill due to the weekly release schedule he had while trying to fit in a whole chapter. i was unsatisfied with the work because i understood that the weekly schedule was actively harming the story’s progression and the author’s ability to work in better conditions (keeping himself in a fresh mindset too). the author is not at fault for being overworked. the whole point of my comment was to criticize the issues with weekly releases in general but i used tshd as an example of this issue. saying “we should be grateful for having a author that still releases on a weekly basis!” is just saying you’re grateful their higher ups are taking advantage of an author’s popularity by forcing them into pumping out inconsistent work and causing delays. im not saying that you are actually supporting overworking schedules but it SOUNDS that way unintentionally. i never blamed the author for a decision that cant be controlled by just them. im just tired of weekly updates that do nothing but affect the author’s health and their work. we also cant forget that author’s criticize their work for not being “perfect” when they get overworked. its like mistreating your baby and you cant do anything about it because you’re forced to work in bad conditions. (saying this from an artist perspective — when i had to pump out art pieces with essays WEEKLY for a college leveled course that could help me pay my credits for college if i passed their exam and workload)

if you just decided to mention this then i would’ve wholeheartedly agreed with you and thanked you for mentioning this because i completely forgot tshd had an anime and the 2nd season is actively being worked on lmao. it makes much more sense as to why we have more delays but it still wont change my opinion on having weekly updates that just overwork authors and artists.

well i mean the publication we’ve been getting are short amounts of panels because its split between part 1/2/3 and the release arent weird some mangaka do chapters in parts each month not weekly you should be grateful its weekly. and if you know the last two chapters release date then you should also know chap 50 and 51 are full chapters. i can get why you’re upset but at the same time confused cause you said you’re upset you forget the plot in a week so do you want them to do daily releases ? cause if you wanted them to be able to fit enough content. they could do what many do and release monthly but that sure will be a problem for you if you cant forget in a week you sure as hell can forget in a month

also the hiatus were scheduled ahead of time its always been 3-4 parts of a character and when it becomes a vol then a month hiatus for quite some time now

those parts you’re speaking of are usually still longer in chapters than what we get for this manga. idk why i should be grateful for a weekly release when authors should be given adequate time (ex: monthly chapters) in order for them to release consistent full chapter and for their own well being. “yes i should be grateful for licensing companies overworking their mangaka’s” is what you sound like even if thats not your intention. im aware of the 2 month release for the last two chapters. im criticizing the fact that this monthly schedule release should’ve been done a long time ago. please read my comment again. i said “i prefer to wait for MONTHLY RELEASES than having to wait for a weekly chapter in parts”. i dont understand what part you didnt get of me saying i prefer the long wait than forcing managaka’s into pumping out bits and bits of plot inconsistently. when i say i “forget” the last chapter i mean that each chapter usually ends in a cliffhanger. cliffhangers usually mean there is new info you dont understand bc you have to wait until a specific date to finally comprehend what comes after the cliffhanger. a full chapter usually gives you a better explanation of the situation. i never criticized the author’s actual work bc the writing and art style have been consistent.

also thank you for mentioning this, i wasnt aware of this change. i usually try to read the chapters a month later so i can just stack the parts.

i mean cliffhangers bring in anticipation and have you at the edge of your seat with theories of what might happen next. most of the stuff you’re ranting about mokumokuren has given a reason why they do what they do some time numerous times.

i mean even the author agrees with the schedule release. i dont understand why im not allowed to criticize something even tho mokumokuren critized the schedule release themselves, meaning she has no control of releases. thats why i never criticized her lmao. there is even a translation for a post mokumomokuren made.

no one’s saying you cant criticize huh? its a public section people can chime in and fix your statements. again most of the things in your rant is explained including the part you linked about scheduling its not new for authors and illustrators to be overworked unfortunately nothing fans can do.
